The type of item you are knitting or crocheting will have a more significant influence on the kind of thread you will need to use, and not whether you are choosing to crochet or knit. In general, if your child can sit for a short period of time and manipulate a pencil, then they’re ready to learn to crochet. This major difference makes Crochet much easier to work with. But there are some things you can do to make it easier. The hand of 6 year old child is significantly smaller than that of a teenager.

Crocheting, on the other hand, is done with just one crochet hook and the stitches resemble small knots.. This is especially true for younger children. Any compulsive crafter would have to agree.
